Marlene is a Chemical engineer Lean Master Black Belt with over ten years of experience in the pharmaceutical, manufacturing and financial services sectors. Her broad business and operations background combined with in-depth Lean Six Sigma expertise have proven invaluable in Lean consulting projects.

Prior to V2A, Marlene led the Program Management office for a chemical plant (API) of Pfizer Pharmaceuticals. She was the leader of an Operational Excellence team accountable for leading, coaching and implementing Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Lean Administration, Cultural and Lean Tranformations and Human Error Reduction tools and methodologies.
Marlene holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a MS in Environmental Evaluation and Protection from the Interamerican Univertiy of Puerto Rico. She also obtained a Master Black Belt Certification from Villanova University.
Marlene is passionate about education. She opened and manages the first cognitive skills development center in Puerto Rico. She spends most of her free time with her huband and two kids. Some of her passions include sports, reading and going to the beach.
